Company History
Innovation First Notice (originally First Notice Systems) was founded by The Cross
Country Group (CCG) in 1993. CCG is the leading provider of
private label and co-branded service programs in North America.
Back in ’93, one of CCG’s major programs was providing
roadside assistance for various auto manufacturers, including
Toyota and BMW. As they were taking these calls, CCG realized
they could capture claim information at the time of the initial
tow call and re-sell that information back to insurance companies.
First Notice was founded to capitalize on this opportunity
and was set up as a wholly owned subsidiary of CCG.
Over the years, First Notice branched beyond
the auto market and eventually provided service for all lines
of insurance business. It also kept pace with technological
developments, as its core intake platform moved from Open
Basic to Client/Server and now, to the Web/Internet. In 1997,
the company was sold to Concentra Inc., the comprehensive
outsource provider for containing healthcare and disability
costs. In December of 2006, First Notice was acquired by Innovation Group plc., a global provider of technology-enabled outsourcing and software solutions to insurers and other risk carriers, and became Innovation First Notice.
