Innovation First Notice could just take the call, capture the information,
and pass it on to you. For some clients that’s exactly
what we do. But we understand that our service, placed as
it is at the beginning of a series of client-customer interactions,
can add a great deal of value—and ROI for you—by
doing more. Which is why we are working hard with our strategic
partners to include significant new functionality and product
extensions to the ClaimCapture family.
We think of it as turning a black-and-white transaction into
a full-color service. In claim reporting, for instance, consider
the following diagram:

Added Functionality
There are a number of “downstream” activities
that Innovation First Notice can provide right at the point of loss report.
We know, for instance, when the police have been involved
in a loss so we can immediately order a police report on behalf
of the client. This is traditionally one of the first things
an adjuster does—but several days later and at a greater
expense.
The same holds true with fraud. We can ask callers a series
of questions and link to 3rd-party systems for claim histories
that can immediately surface probable fraudulent claims. Based
on thresholds that you define, these claims can be pathed
directly to Special Investigation Units (SIUs) for action.
The earlier fraud is detected, the more money clients save.
Yet another example involves workers’ compensation
reports. A number of states mandate that they receive a copy
of the FROI and SROIs via EDI. The problem is that each state
has their own format. And they’re always changing. First
Notice can automatically transmit those claims to a partner
that eliminates all the regulatory headaches and handles all
the state filing.
Service Extensions
Beyond packing more into the loss report itself, Innovation First Notice
is also actively engaged in extending its services. We’ve
built a robust vendor referral engine that qualifies callers
for specified services and presents a selection of previously
approved providers. Clients can import their own vendor networks
into the engine, use the First Notice “house network”
of best-of-breed providers, or utilize a mix of both for the
highest possible coverage.

referral program.
As a partner of the Concentra corporate network, we are uniquely
positioned to automatically integrate with a number of valuable
services that are generally requested much later in the claims
process. We can refer providers in the Concentra FOCUS PPO,
direct certain claims for case management, begin the process
of bill review and much more. Again, these are services that
provide real returns in and of themselves. But when we get
them started much earlier, the savings potential is greater.
